Slow Southern Style was created in September 2009 as a place for people to explore all things stylish and southern. From seersucker to street wear if people are wearing it than you will see it featured here.

 Since the site is based in New Orleans, Louisiana there is a strong emphasis on that area but designers and shops from all over the south are featured on a regular basis.

I'm Christy Lorio, founder of this site. Since writing your own profile is weird I'll just give y'all some random non-fashion facts

Almost literally grew up with a swamp for a backyard

Never knew what sweet tea was until adulthood, assumed all tea is sweet

Grew up in Southern Louisiana and I'm still scared of cockroaches

Loves reptiles 

Has played flute since the fourth grade, considered pursuing professionally at one point

Hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon about 10 times

Proud owner of three tattoos: a shrimp, magnolia flowers, and a rattlesnake
